SEMARNAT - Customer Case Study

SEMARNAT (the Environment and Natural Resources Secretariat of the Mexican Government) needed to systematize and automate all federal forestry procedures to comply with the Mexican General Law on Sustainable Forestry Development. The project—developed by IDT en Sistemas de Información with GeneXus technology (powered by GXportal)—addressed a complex, large-scale environment involving more than 7,000 objects, 32 interconnected federal agencies, and hundreds of officials.

GeneXus-powered National Forestry Management System (SNGF) automated workflows, increased productivity, and produced faster, more transparent procedures across the forestry administration. The implementation now supports 32 agencies, manages 7,000+ objects and hundreds of users, and leverages GeneXus features such as database normalization, automatic maintenance and referential integrity control to deliver a more efficient, compliant forestry management platform.
