Riosulense meat packing plant reduces development time with GeneXus

Frigorífico Riosulense, a long-established Brazilian meat packing company, needed a modern ERP in 2005 because its UNIX/RISC-based system was hard to integrate and it was difficult to find staff skilled in Dataflex. They selected GeneXus software (distributed by BXT) to build a new, evolvable ERP platform thanks to GeneXus’s ability to generate multiple databases and use a single development tool for all solutions.

Using GeneXus, Frigorífico Riosulense implemented ERP modules gradually across its two Santa Catarina plants; roughly 200 of the company’s 1,600 employees now use the GeneXus-built solutions. GeneXus enabled new functionality (notably a mobile sales automation module), avoided costly customizations and monthly maintenance, and—per the IT manager—reduced the time required to develop and integrate applications.
