PayPlus Software, a dominant player in human resources management outsourcing that became the market leader after acquiring its main competitor, faced obsolete applications with high maintenance costs and limited resources to redesign them. To modernize quickly and produce more with less, PayPlus Software adopted GeneXus and engaged GeneXus USA to develop a new multi-company HR suite that would handle people, organizations, payroll, benefits and a complex temporal database.

GeneXus implemented the solution using GeneXus Patterns to automatically address the temporal database complexity and keep everything synchronized; Patterns generated almost 5,000 objects and covered over 95% of the application (only 6 of 300 transactions required manual work). The result was a mission-critical HR application delivered with GeneXus that dramatically reduced redevelopment effort while modernizing the platform.
