Nelore Breeders Association - Customer Case Study

Nelore Breeders Association, which unites breeders of the Nelore cattle breed in Brazil, needed to integrate all system areas, manage internal processes across departments, present consolidated results on a single site, and deploy an administrative system that could connect with regional associations for rapid information exchange. To address this, they engaged GeneXus, using the GeneXus development platform together with GXflow (workflow) and GXportal (web portal).

GeneXus built the main internal applications with GeneXus, used GXflow as the workflow engine for high-demand areas like the National Ranking, and deployed GXportal for the public site fully integrated with internal workflows. The solution ran on a single internal application server (SQL Server/Windows 2003) with GXportal on the web server, supported 50 concurrent internal users and handled over 600 external users at Expoinel 2007 with no performance problems, enabling streamlined operations and faster information exchange across regional associations.
