Inter is Intercable, a Venezuelan telecommunications company serving more than 400,000 customers with cable TV, broadband Internet and telephony. Facing rapid service innovation and the need to migrate all applications originally built in Visual FoxPro, Inter selected GeneXus — using the GeneXus development platform, the GXVision solution and the Java Win generator — to re‑platform and modernize its systems.

GeneXus implemented a migration to Java Win and GXVision on an Oracle 10g/HP‑Unix client/server environment, enabling fast rollout of new services and business strategies, full Customer Care functionality, and automated control and organization of operating processes. As a result, GeneXus helped Inter consolidate systems, accelerate time‑to‑market for new offerings and deliver management and strategic data to directors while supporting its large customer base.
