Dispapeles, a Colombian company focused on recycling and marketing all types of paper and byproducts, needed to upgrade and customize its software to pursue new Internet market niches during a financial downturn. After evaluating options, Dispapeles adopted GeneXus to rapidly develop a custom production system and supporting web applications.

Using GeneXus, Dispapeles developed manufacturing software based on standard costs plus modules for inventory, portfolio, accounting, accounts payable, sales and billing, and two web apps for outsourcing supplies and quote tracking (generated for Java/RPG on Db2/Linux). GeneXus enabled delivery in record time and at lower cost than pre-packaged solutions, systematizing business management and supporting the company’s move into new online markets.
