The Government of Mendoza needed to accelerate election computerization, improve public service and better exploit election data after years of relying on a legacy Clipper (DOS) solution and ad‑hoc PHP queries with no public portal. To meet these goals they selected GeneXus technologies (notably GeneXus 9.0 along with GXplorer and GXchart) to build a modern web-based election system and public portal.

Using GeneXus, ACP Ingeniería de Sistemas SRL built a Web‑Java system for loading telegrams from ballot tables, processing results in SQL Server 200, and a data‑dissemination application deployed on two servers and integrated into a public portal. GeneXus-powered components handled the unpredictable Election Day load “with no problem whatsoever,” enabling real‑time publication of results by post (President, Governor, Mayor, etc.) and delivering a reliable, easily installed solution that significantly improved service to citizens.
