Gobierno de Chile - Customer Case Study

Gobierno de Chile tasked its civil service agency with improving communication with citizens and professionalizing state service delivery, noting that existing email- and office-based technologies were insufficient. GeneXus (using GXportal 4.2 and the OIRS concept) was selected to build modern portals and an Information, Claims and Requests Office to enable better citizen engagement.

Using GeneXus/GXportal, the vendor delivered two components—a content-managed web portal and an OIRS workflow system—running on Linux with DB2/PostGre and generated in Java. The GeneXus solution was implemented in under three months, enabled non-technical content publishing (e.g., public-post contests), streamlined citizen requests into a formal workflow, and measurably improved access and service quality for citizens.
