Case Study: GRIBS (Stöhr‑Brot’s app developer) achieves faster, more accurate bakery deliveries with GeneXus

Germany relies on gribsAPP® Driver for large bakery deliveries

GRIBS developed the mobile app gribsAPP® Driver to help the German bakery chain Stöhr‑Brot, which operates 3 production sites, 60 trucks, serves 600 customers and makes more than 400 deliveries per day. The customer challenge was to streamline and integrate delivery workflows with the bakery management software and ERP, reduce errors and paper, and make route and order handling simple for drivers. GeneXus was used as the development platform for this project.

Using GeneXus, GRIBS built an Android app fully integrated via web services with central IT that lets drivers download routes, print packing lists at the customer, record changes or orders on-site, and sync billing data over WLAN. As a result (via GeneXus-enabled development) drivers learned the system in one day, delivery errors declined, productivity and route planning improved, administrative data entry was eliminated, and paper use and customer inquiries were noticeably reduced.
