Case Study: Montes del Plata achieves seamless SAP integration and digitized harvest maintenance with GeneXus

GeneXus For SAP in the Forestry Industry

Montes del Plata faced the challenge of integrating multiple technology sources to capture production and maintenance data from harvesting equipment and reliably load it into their SAP maintenance management system. Working with GeneXus and using GeneXus for SAP, the team built the Plant Maintenance “Cosecha” web system to gather shift-by-shift production and maintenance events for Forwarders and Harvesters and bridge API Rest data with SAP.

GeneXus implemented the solution by leveraging its SAP connector and WebServices to simplify access and integration between the web platform and SAP, and the work is being expanded to include forestry lease data. The result is digitalization of formerly manual tasks—reducing manual data entry, accelerating data capture and processing, and delivering a measurable boost in productivity and working pace for Montes del Plata. GeneXus continues to support further SAP integrations for the company.
