Farmanet, a pharmaceutical distribution company founded by five laboratories, needed to reformulate its Datawarehouse around 2000 to better serve internal stakeholders and customers with faster deliveries and reliable order tracking. They discovered the solution at the X GeneXus International Meeting and chose GeneXus technology (including GXplorer) to address the gap left by their incomplete previous implementation.

Using GeneXus and GXplorer, with development support from Acción Point, Farmanet built a new Datawarehouse (C/SQL generator on SQL Server, client/server and web) that cut implementation time and reduced tool-related costs. The GeneXus-based solution unified data concepts, provided users at all levels access to strategic information from anywhere, sped decision-making, and improved order tracking, delivery times, product safety and payment-on-delivery processes.
