DGI GeneXus in Uruguay’s e-government

DGI (Dirección General Impositiva), Uruguay’s internal revenue service, needed to modernize and optimize document management and automate tracking of requests and records across its central office in Montevideo and regional branches. To meet this challenge it selected GeneXus and the K2B Gesdoc document management solution (developed with GXflow/GeneXus technologies and powered by GXportal) to strengthen its data systems and workflow control.

GeneXus implemented K2B Gesdoc on a GeneXus BPM Suite/SOA architecture to centralize records and automate follow-up processes. The solution is fully operational, managing all office records and controlling over 5,000 monthly cases with more than 20,000 transactions and about 400 users, delivering measurable improvements in case tracking and document handling across DGI.
