Datalab, a BI solutions firm, helped one of Uruguay’s leading credit card companies tackle intense competition by improving targeting for promotions and benefits. Using GeneXus technology and the SBC segmentation solution, Datalab needed to deliver in-depth portfolio analysis and customer segmentation to personalize campaigns, reduce mass-marketing costs, and strengthen customer relationships.
Leveraging GeneXus, Datalab implemented portfolio segmentation from transactional, demographic and behavioral data and developed a Consumption Reduction Alert model to flag customers with significant monthly drops in spending. The GeneXus-powered solution enabled more assertive campaign management, targeted retention tactics, monthly identification of at-risk customers and maximized advertising investment—leading to reduced campaign costs and measurably improved campaign efficiency and ROI.
