Cotrimaio, a Brazilian agricultural cooperative (Cooperativa Agro-Pecuária Alto Uruguai Ltda.), needed a way to collect associate and contributor data and give agronomists and sales reps access to corporate ERP information (such as past purchases) so they could provide better customer information and close larger sales. To meet this need Cotrimaio adopted a GeneXus-based mobile solution for Pocket PC, generated with .NET Mobile and implemented by Migrate Company.

Using GeneXus, Migrate Company developed a Pocket PC mobile system that integrates with the corporate ERP via web services, giving field agronomists real-time access to purchase histories and the ability to place orders. The GeneXus solution eliminated paper diaries, increased efficiency in cooperative field activities, and improved sales effectiveness by enabling reps to close bigger deals directly from the mobile device.
