Conaprole, Uruguay’s National Cooperative of Milk Producers, manages large‑scale milk collection, processing and distribution across eight plants and thousands of producers, and faced the challenge of coordinating real‑time collection, quality measurement, producer payments and order capture while integrating with its SAP ERP and replacing paper‑based processes. Since 2000 Conaprole has used SAP for administrative management and GeneXus to build the custom systems and mobile/offline apps needed to connect operations to SAP.

GeneXus delivered a suite of integrated solutions — notably the GLF (Fresh Milk Management) system connected to SAP R/3 via BAPI services, the Info‑Rut GIS routing tool (developed with the School of Engineering) and producer and sales‑order web/mobile applications — enabling offline operation, direct order entry into SAP and route optimization. The GeneXus implementations cut licensing and development costs, shortened development cycles, reduced operating times and errors, and produced measurable impact such as US$800,000 in first‑year savings from improved distance/route calculations.
