Catarinense Distribuidora gains sales agility with mobile application created using GeneXus

Catarinense Distribuidora needed an offline mobile solution to manage its sales force that distributes frozen products to more than 1,500 points of sale serving about 3 million customers along the coast of Santa Catarina. Working with GeneXus, Catarinense used GeneXus Tilo to add offline capability to its existing systems (SIV business intelligence and SAV sales automation) so field reps could take orders reliably despite spotty 3G coverage.

GeneXus implemented an Android app that runs offline on phones and tablets, enabling real-time field work, better maintenance of safety stock levels and reduced operational costs. The solution is live with 25 users and improved sales agility; SIV was developed in three months and SAV in two months, highlighting GeneXus’ speed and support in delivering measurable business impact.
