Cable & Wireless of Panama Builds its Systems with GeneXus

Cable & Wireless Panama, part of the Grupo Cable & Wireless group, faced new requirements under Panama’s 2003 telecom law that changed how invoicing between clients and operators must be handled. To address the need for processing services provided by other long-distance carriers, GeneXus (through GeneXus Consulting) developed an additional billing system called Facturación a Cargo y Cuenta to work alongside CWP’s main invoicing platform.

GeneXus implemented the solution entirely with GeneXus technology, using GXportal for application integration and role-based access control and GXflow to schedule and control batch processes. GeneXus also delivered a CDR (Call Detail Record) management module via its Software Factory method, deployed in record time and now in production, enabling automated CDR handling, secure access, and streamlined invoicing for Cable & Wireless Panama.
