Benefits of the low-code development platform after using it during 8 years

Nihon Housing, founded in 1958 and managing 9,750 buildings (459,551 apartment units) across Japan, faced the challenge of rebuilding and continuously evolving its mission‑critical condominium management system, Hou‑Net, to keep up with frequent business requests, changing priorities, regulatory updates and browser/OS upgrades. In 2012 the company adopted the low‑code development platform GeneXus to rebuild Hou‑Net and enable faster, more maintainable development.

By using GeneXus and moving to an agile approach, Nihon Housing now delivers 10–20 functions each month (more than 50 releases a year), resolved roughly 800 browser‑upgrade problems in about six months with a three‑person effort, and automated accounting and e‑invoicing workflows that cut manual checks on ~40,000 statements and enabled monthly settlement within five business days. GeneXus’ automatic code generation, built‑in impact analysis and GeneXus Server versioning reduced verification and training overhead, accelerated development and made remote maintenance and releases far easier.
