A GeneXus Case Study
Banco de Corrientes faced obsolete core banking systems from the 1980s–90s and began a renewal process in 2007, selecting the Bantotal core banking solution—built entirely with GeneXus—to replace its legacy platforms. The move addressed the bank’s need for a modern, flexible platform to support growth and operational scale.
Implemented in 2009, the Bantotal platform developed with GeneXus now manages close to 2 million daily transactions for Banco de Corrientes and helped the bank climb 23 positions in the Central Bank’s net worth ranking (from 55th to 32nd) over five years; lending capacity rose 9 ranks and deposits also showed considerable improvement, with Fortune later ranking the bank 18th among the top 40 nationwide. GeneXus’ tools provided the flexibility and manageability that enabled these measurable gains.
