Aeropuerto General en Jefe Santiago Mariño - Customer Case Study

Aeropuerto General en Jefe Santiago Mariño, the international airport on Margarita Island, needed to modernize workflow control for fee allocation, administration, supervision, ticketing and oversight. In collaboration with system integrator SID C.A., the airport turned to GeneXus technologies (including GXflow) to develop a new Tax Administration System (SIATA) to manage airport income and tax processing.

GeneXus was used to build SIATA, a web-based solution (Java generator, MySQL, Windows) that delivers real-time, workstation-linked transaction tracking, role-based security and automated controls to speed sales and oversight. The GeneXus-built system improved human-resource efficiency and attention times by 35% for allocation, oversight and cash-count processes, materially boosting the airport’s operational performance.
