A GeneXus Case Study
KPMG Mexico, a global professional services and consulting firm, needed a better way to assess employees’ English proficiency. Its existing SAEE system was built on .NET and SQL Server 2005, and the company wanted a friendlier intranet-based version that would also track each user’s progress and integrate with the firm’s database. KPMG turned to GeneXus and Fusion IT to build the new application.
Using GeneXus, the new SAEE application was delivered as an easy-to-use, visually polished internal tool for about 80% of the Mexico office staff. The solution helped optimize the English training budget by 20% to 25%, and the overall development investment was only 5% of what traditional staff training would have cost. According to KPMG, GeneXus also reduced development time and maintenance dependency while enabling faster prototyping and easier updates, with plans to extend the system to other offices in Central America.
