Case Study: VUCE simplifies foreign trade operations with GeneXus Consulting

VUCE, Uruguay’s Foreign Trade Single Window, needed a way to simplify import, export, and transit procedures that were still tied to paper documents and separate offices. Working with GeneXus Consulting and using GeneXus Evolution 2, GXflow, and DynamicForms, the organization set out to create a single electronic point of entry for foreign trade operations.

GeneXus Consulting helped build an online platform that unified more than twenty State entities and connected over sixty systems, with dynamic forms, a generic process, integration mechanisms, user guarantees, and data security. By December 2014, VUCE had 21 administrative procedures available, more than 3,000 electronic documents issued, six entities connected, and over 800 users on the platform, while reducing paperwork, waiting time, and costs.
