Case Study: DGI advances national e-invoicing with GeneXus Consulting

DGI and GeneXus Consulting – lead players in the nation-wide change towards e-invoicing

Uruguay’s General Taxation Office, DGI, partnered with GeneXus Consulting to implement a national electronic invoicing system. The project addressed the move from paper invoices to digital documents that meet DGI’s legal and tax requirements.

GeneXus Consulting supported the Electronic Tax Voucher process, which lets issuers sign, store, and forward CFEs to DGI and to receivers through a simple application compatible with standard accounting systems. More than 5 million documents have been issued through the project, and DGI said the initiative could help reduce invoice management costs by 40% to 80% depending on company size and volume.
