Ville Renouvelée Mobilité uses Genetec Curb Sense to better enforce on-street parking in Roubaix city center

Ville Renouvelée Mobilité, a public service delegation for the city of Roubaix, was responsible for monitoring 1,750 on‑street parking spaces across a red/orange regulated zone with six agents making 2–3 daily rounds. Their legacy Q2C workflow required extensive manual data entry and lengthy handling times per vehicle, making it difficult to meet the city’s rotation targets and causing inefficiencies in enforcement.

In June 2019 Genetec implemented Genetec Curb Sense™ (with Genetec AutoVu™ ALPR on handheld PDAs) to automate license‑plate reads, payment verification, geotagging and ticket printing and to feed a central Parking Center with real‑time dashboards. The solution reduced validation time from several minutes to 20–30 seconds, doubled the number of inspections per shift with the same six agents, improved accuracy and dispute handling, and provided actionable occupancy and enforcement data to help Ville Renouvelée Mobilité meet Roubaix’s parking goals.
