Ultra-modern 25,000 Sqft gambling hall hits jackpot with Genetec Security Center

Stones Gambling Hall, a 25,000 sq ft, 400‑employee gaming facility in Citrus Heights, California, needed a modern, highly available security system to protect guests and assets, control access to sensitive areas, and meet strict regulatory reporting requirements — with plans to add license‑plate recognition. After a tender and on CCS’s recommendation, Stones selected Genetec’s unified Security Center platform, deploying Omnicast video surveillance and Synergis access control to provide an integrated IP video and door‑control solution.

Genetec’s Security Center was implemented with ~200 network cameras (including ~30 in the garage), Synergis managing 25 doors, HID readers, EDGE camera storage (7 days), and a 140 TB SAN delivering >21 days of archives. The unified system accelerated investigations via bookmarking, instant playback and visual tracking, automated Title 31 reporting with snapshots on duress, enabled mobile monitoring, and contributed to a reduction in neighborhood crime. Stones reports faster incident response, simpler user workflows, and measurable infrastructure: 200 cameras online, 25 doors controlled, 7‑day EDGE backups and multi‑week archived retention on the SAN.
