UGI Energy Services invests in Omnicast™ IP video surveillance to enhance live monitoring of sites

UGI Energy Services LLC, an integrated energy company serving the Northeast and Mid‑Atlantic, needed to strengthen security and live monitoring across multiple propane and generation sites to protect employees, assets and nearby communities and to meet federal utilities‑security guidance. Working with integrator Communications Systems Inc., UGI selected Genetec’s Omnicast™ IP video surveillance as part of the Security Center unified platform to add live, map‑based and mobile access to site video.

Genetec’s Omnicast was deployed at four UGIES propane sites (approximately 25 cameras total, with the largest site using 15 cameras), paired with Bosch analytic cameras and monitored by Security Partners. The solution provides continuous 30‑day recording, motion and tripwire alarms routed for first‑level validation, and Security Center Mobile access for real‑time site visibility—resulting in faster, more accurate alarm response, deterrence of unauthorized access, improved compliance, and plans to expand Genetec capabilities to additional sites.
