Universidad Argentina de la Empresa (UADE), a top-ranked private university in Buenos Aires with three campuses and 1,750 employees, faced rising vandalism, theft and an aging analog CCTV system that lacked real-time investigative tools, was costly to maintain and could not scale. Seeking centralized monitoring, better bandwidth management and easy expansion to PoE/wireless devices, UADE selected Genetec Omnicast as part of the Genetec Security Center unified platform.

Genetec implemented Omnicast to centrally manage 380 IP cameras across all campuses (using Axis and Interlogix cameras), leveraging Federation and Security Center Mobile for unified, remote access. Features such as multicast, on‑motion recording, redundant/failover archiving and real‑time health monitoring reduced network load, sped investigations and improved uptime; the deployment runs on nine 5 TB servers (storing roughly 20 days of video) and has delivered measurable gains in reliability, response times and scalable growth for UADE.
