Royal Pharmaceutical Society secures historical assets with Security Center

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society needed to protect a high-value library, museum and controlled substances at its new headquarters while keeping the building accessible for staff, members and events. Facing the limitations of legacy analog systems and the cost of separate solutions, the Society selected Security Center — the unified security platform from Genetec — on the recommendation of integrator Controlled Ltd to provide video, access control and intrusion detection in one flexible system.

Genetec’s Security Center unified Omnicast video (40 Sony IP cameras), Synergis access control (almost 30 doors, seven cardholder profiles) and a Honeywell Galaxy intrusion system, with archival storage (24 TB, 60 days retention). The integrated solution improved operator response and usability, enabled quick incident review that helped identify and convict a bicycle thief, simplified event and visitor access, and reduced cost and complexity by consolidating systems under Genetec.
