Property Investment Firm Automates Parking Services with AutoVu ANPR System

Group First, a UK property investment firm managing 8,500 parking spaces around Glasgow Airport, needed a modern parking management system to link bookings to its investor database, improve customer experience and automate operations. On the recommendation of Beacon Parking Services and NetFM UK, Group First deployed Genetec’s AutoVu ALPR within Security Center to provide plate-based automated access and integrate with its Speed Park booking software.

Genetec’s AutoVu solution, customized by Beacon and NetFM, automates barrier control, captures time‑stamped plate reads and vehicle images, syncs real‑time data for shuttle coordination, and generates automated monthly and quarterly investor reports—reducing disputes and streamlining investor relations. The pilot uses four AutoVu Sharp cameras, supports the 8,500-space service, has improved customer throughput and security alerts for tailgating, and Group First expects a full return on the investment in less than a year.
