National Bank Monitors 40 Branches from Headquarters with Security Center

Afriland First Bank Cameroon, which operates 40 branches, faced limited network bandwidth that prevented real‑time national video monitoring and forced local storage and delayed incident response. The bank partnered with Sanuna Technologies and chose Genetec solutions — notably Genetec Security Center (Omnicast) and Genetec Cloud Archiving — to upgrade its surveillance and enable live visibility from headquarters.

Genetec’s Security Center was deployed (six‑month pilot then full roll‑out), delivering H.264 streams (~300 Kbps per camera) that made central monitoring across the 40 branches feasible; today nearly 400 cameras are watched from five screens by an eight‑person, 24/7 team. The implementation reduced bandwidth needs, cut the reliance on guards at each site, enabled faster interventions, and stores video on 12 TB NAS for about five years of retention — significantly improving security and customer service.
