New Orleans Real Time Crime Center faced an outdated, limited citywide camera system that forced officers to spend hours collecting video evidence from businesses. After two high‑profile shootings, the city launched a $40M Citywide Public Safety Improvement Plan and built the Real‑Time Crime Center (RTCC), engaging Genetec to modernize operations using its Security Center unified platform and related products (Omnicast, AutoVu, Stratocast, Federation).

Genetec deployed Security Center with Omnicast video, AutoVu ALPR, Federation and Stratocast, integrated with BriefCam analytics and the CAD system, giving RTCC operators quick access to 325+ city cameras and 100 ALPR units and to participating private cameras. The result: about 2,000 officer hours saved annually, 2,100 footage requests handled in one year with 70% yielding relevant video, faster emergency response and streamlined evidence export—demonstrable efficiency gains and clear ROI for the New Orleans Real Time Crime Center.
