22 Bishopsgate is a 1.275 million sq ft, 62-storey commercial tower in London that hosts up to 12,000 employees and public amenities. Facing fragmented alarms and siloed building systems, the 22 Bishopsgate team worked with integrator Total IT to select Genetec and its Genetec Security Center platform—along with Synergis and KiwiVision—to centralize physical security, video and IoT data into a single intuitive interface.
Genetec implemented Security Center (plus Synergis and KiwiVision) and integrated CCTV, access control, people-counting and IoT protocols (BACnet, MQTT, SNMP) to give operators a unified view and automated alerting. The solution enabled proactive fixes—most notably detecting chilled-water temperature issues that uncovered a fault on a 5,000‑kW chiller—and delivered measurable gains in incident response efficiency, occupancy analytics for staffing and amenity planning, and a reduction in tenant‑reported issues.
