Case Study: Eden Park achieves stadium-wide visibility and operational efficiencies with Genetec Security Center

A Genetec Case Study

Preview of the Eden Park Case Study

How the team has expanded visibility to keep guests safer, all while developing stronger city partnerships to streamline operations and incident response

Eden Park, New Zealand’s national stadium in Auckland, needed a more reliable, operationally efficient security platform to protect nearly one million annual visitors and meet new crowded-places requirements ahead of high-profile events. Following a recommendation from channel partner Nextro, Eden Park selected Genetec Security Center—using Genetec Omnicast (VMS), AutoVu with SharpV ANPR, Streamvault appliances and Federation—to deliver venue-wide surveillance and collaboration capabilities.

Genetec implemented a unified Security Center solution that now monitors 150+ cameras, uses Omnicast for video management, AutoVu SharpV for automatic number-plate checks, and four Streamvault appliances (high-availability, dual recording) plus dual directory servers for redundancy. The deployment improved stadium-wide visibility, enables Quick Search and Visual Tracking to identify and respond to incidents in seconds, speeds evidence sharing with police via Federation, and has driven a marked increase in system uptime and reliability for Eden Park.
