A Genetec Case Study
BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha is a global Hindu spiritual and humanitarian organization with 3,300 international centers that needed a better way to manage and upgrade security across many sites. After moving from legacy systems to Genetec Security Center for unified video and access control, BAPS found legacy servers and varied infrastructure slowed maintenance and delayed access to new features, leaving volunteers with time-consuming update tasks.
Genetec solved this by supplying Streamvault appliances pre‑loaded with Security Center and the Genetec Update Service, standardizing deployments at more than 20 locations and enabling cloud services via Genetec Advantage (including 2 TB of cloud archive storage). The appliances support up to 2,000 cameras per server, simplify installs so Genetec‑certified volunteers can deploy systems, provide a performance guarantee and single‑point support (resolving hardware issues such as a Nairobi RAID fault), and let BAPS roll out updates and new capabilities faster while preparing for centralized monitoring with Federation‑as‑a‑Service.
