Edelweiss upgrades video surveillance with Genetec Omnicast to enhance security at new corporate headquarters

Edelweiss Financial Services, a leading Indian financial services group with 4,285 employees, moved into a new 15-story headquarters and required a future-proof IP video surveillance solution to protect high-value transactions and top-tier clients. Their initial 100-camera system suffered failing cameras, poor low-light performance and scalability limits when adding cameras, so with guidance from NexGen they chose Genetec and its Omnicast solution within Genetec Security Center.

Genetec deployed Omnicast, integrating Axis and existing cameras to avoid a full rip-and-replace, and scaled the system to manage 293 cameras streaming to two archivers with 30 days retention. Features like Failover Directory/Archiver, dynamic stream switching, Plan Manager map-based viewing and motion-triggered archiving improved video clarity, reliability, bandwidth and storage efficiency; Edelweiss added 200+ IP cameras easily and can now extend centralized management to other branches using Genetec Federation.
