Collective cities in outer-metropolitan Paris band together to fight crime with Genetec Security Center

San de Sénart, a collective of seven municipalities on the south-eastern edge of Île-de-France, faced rising street crime, vandalism and armed robberies that local police and piecemeal measures could not fully contain. To reassure businesses and residents the municipalities turned to Genetec, selecting its Security Center unified platform (including Omnicast for video and Synergis for access control) to consolidate surveillance and incident response across the region.

Genetec implemented Security Center to manage 74 cameras, centralize monitoring at the inter‑municipal CSUI, and use Federation and Plan Manager for unified alarms, reporting and map-based operator workflows. The system enabled 24/7 shared monitoring, better allocation of security resources and low-cost scalability — and delivered measurable results: Moissy‑Cramayel reported roughly a 43% drop in delinquency in a 10‑month span after deployment.
