The City of Pueblo sought to enhance its policing strategy by establishing a Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) and expanding its vehicle investigation capabilities. To track suspects and support officers faster, the police department needed to deploy an advanced automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) system. They chose to work with vendor Genetec to implement their Cloudrunner solution.

Genetec provided the City of Pueblo with a unified public safety platform and deployed approximately 70 Cloudrunner ALPR cameras. The solution integrated with crime databases to provide real-time alerts and enabled investigators to quickly search for vehicles by characteristics. This implementation by Genetec has been a force multiplier, delivering critical intelligence that has helped solve major crimes, including a murder, and has contributed to driving down crime in the community.
