Banking on a unified approach with Security Center

Cornhusker Bank, a 110-year-old community bank in Lincoln, Nebraska, faced a mix of aging analog and newer IP security systems across six branches, a technology center and several part-time offices. Seeking a unified, scalable platform to centralize video and access control and simplify multi-branch investigations, the bank selected Genetec’s Security Center (including Omnicast and Synergis) with implementation support from Prime Communications.

Genetec implemented Security Center across all sites, consolidating more than 100 cameras under Omnicast and deploying Synergis for IP access control with dual-authentication. The unified system provides centralized monitoring, mobile remote access, local video storage (2–4 TB per site with ~60 days retention), and features like on-motion recording and video trickling to reduce bandwidth—enabling faster investigations, easy video export for law enforcement and tighter access control across branches. Genetec’s solution has standardized security operations and allowed Cornhusker Bank to grow the system incrementally while improving response and investigative capabilities.
