Case Study: Bank of Rakyat Indonesia secures and streamlines headquarters access with Genetec Synergis

A Genetec Case Study

Preview of the Bank of Rakyat Indonesia Case Study

Bank of Rakyat Indonesia implements Synergis IP access control system to restrict access to vulnerable areas and extends BRIZZI one-card application to include employee access

Bank of Rakyat Indonesia, Indonesia’s largest government‑owned bank with over 100,000 employees, needed to upgrade basic, stand‑alone access controls at its 35‑story Jakarta headquarters to a scalable, IP‑based system that could protect server rooms, main entrances and other sensitive areas while supporting future integrations. The bank chose Genetec’s Security Center with Synergis IP access control (installed with partners PT. Golden Solution Indonesia and HID Global) to provide an open‑architecture, enterprise‑wide access control platform and to enable a one‑card BRIZZI application for employees.

Genetec deployed Security Center and Synergis to manage 114 doors and 12 tripod turnstiles, using 126 HID VertX V100 door/reader interfaces and five V1000 controllers, enabling granular access groups, visitor management and detailed event reporting. The Genetec solution consolidated administration, let staff use a single BRIZZI card for payments and building access, streamlined visitor enrollment and investigations, and positioned BRI to expand access control, time‑and‑attendance and video/fire integrations across additional sites.
