A Genetec Case Study
Auckland Airport engaged Genetec to modernize and scale its surveillance and access control infrastructure. The airport faced the challenge of supporting an existing 800-video-camera estate while integrating with its CEM access control system, adding license plate recognition (LPR) capability, and preparing for growth to about 1,500 cameras as part of a site expansion and analogue-to-IP migration.
Genetec implemented its Security Center platform to unify video surveillance and CEM access control, incorporate LPR, and provide a scalable architecture to accommodate the planned increase from 800 to 1,500 cameras. The Genetec solution also supports the ongoing conversion of analogue cameras to IP at roughly 30 cameras per year, delivering a consolidated, future-proof security system and clear, measurable expansion milestones.
