America’s Car Museum Selects Omnicast Video Surveillance System to Protect Its Brand New State-of-the-Art Facility and Record Winning Private Car Collection

LeMay - America’s Car Museum, home to a multi-million-dollar collection of nearly 3,000 historic vehicles and a 165,000 sq ft, nine‑acre campus, needed a scalable way to protect its displayed cars and large public spaces. The museum selected Genetec’s Omnicast video management solution (installed by local integrator Robblee’s Total Security Inc.) to deliver a network‑based surveillance platform that fit the facility’s size and budget.

Genetec’s Omnicast, part of the Security Center platform, was deployed with over 90 cameras (Axis indoor and Vicon outdoor units), a six‑monitor security station, and Pivot 3‑provided 12 TB of storage supporting up to four weeks of recorded video. The system lets staff quickly search, bookmark and export footage, enabling rapid dispatch to stop unauthorized access and “keep the vehicles from being damaged,” while also improving guest services and operational decision‑making. Genetec’s solution proved future‑proof and expandable, delivering measurable capabilities—90+ cameras, 12 TB storage, and four weeks’ retention—that directly improved security and incident response.
