ING reduces their global operational cost and risk with CIA

ING, a global bank serving over 38 million clients in more than 40 countries, needed to replace high-risk, spreadsheet-based workflows in its fixed income trading operations across multiple geographies. The manual processes created delays, inconsistency, audit risk, and operational risk, while compliance pressure continued to rise. Genesis Global provided the Credit Insurance Application (CIA) to help ING modernize these mission-critical workflows.

Genesis Global implemented CIA in the US, Hong Kong, and Singapore, combining data, workflow, and reporting tools to improve transaction and portfolio management. ING also reused CIA components to build a second application for its Fund Finance team, accelerating delivery. The result was lower spreadsheet risk, better controls and auditability, improved oversight, and faster deployment of future applications, with reduced manual effort and more efficient global operations.
