The solution implemented by Genesis Petroleum Technologies was a drilling analysis methodology based on establishing a Best Composite Time (BCT), or practical Technical Limit. This method created a well plan using the best times ever achieved for any single operation, establishing a continuously improving performance target. By applying this tool, Anadarko achieved significant cost savings of CAD$7 million during the period it was measured.
