Outreach, a fast-growing Seattle-based sales software company with offices in Seattle, San Francisco and Tampa, needed to secure and scale access across multiple sites while preventing piggybacking (unauthorized people entering with authorized employees). They had already deployed Okta for identity management and chose Genea’s cloud-based access control to manage employee access, then looked to integrate video to verify entries.

Genea integrated with Cisco Meraki’s VMS (and tied into Outreach’s Okta deployment) so access control logs are directly linked to captured video. This allowed Outreach to quickly verify identities, investigate potential piggybacking incidents, and comply with audits—Genea timestamps every keycard use so security teams avoid reviewing hours of footage and can resolve incidents far more efficiently.
