OfferUp, the Bellevue‑based mobile marketplace, was struggling with time‑consuming, error‑prone provisioning as it scaled and moved into a new 75,000 sq ft office. Their existing on‑premise access control was siloed and not integrated with their identity system (Okta), so OfferUp sought a cloud solution that could automate lifecycle provisioning, improve security when roles changed, and reuse existing HID card readers. Genea was chosen to address this challenge.
Genea delivered a cloud‑based access control solution integrated with Okta lifecycle management, enabling automated provisioning and fast deprovisioning via single sign‑on. The implementation eliminated the on‑premise application, worked with existing HID hardware, and gave OfferUp’s IT security team confidence that access is applied and removed correctly—saving time and effort while strengthening physical security.
