How CIRYS succeeded at Jansen Potash Mine

BHP required support in managing the travel and accommodation logistics for its remote Jansen Potash Project workforce. The challenge involved efficiently organizing charter bus travel from two cities and stays at an on-site camp during the project's ramp-up to peak capacity.

Gemstone Logistics implemented its proprietary CIRYS software, a web-based reservation and reporting tool integrated with its CampWare system. The solution included a custom shuttle app and API integrations with BHP's existing systems, enabling workers to book travel and accommodations in one transaction. Gemstone Logistics delivered significant results, enabling one coordinator to handle over 177 reservations per hour and providing a scalable system that grew from 10 to 88 users, all while creating operational efficiencies and a single source of truth for data.
