Case Study: Zehnder Group reduces shipping distances and carbon emissions with Gelato

A Gelato Case Study

Preview of the Zehnder Group Case Study

Zehnder Group Stopping excess printing and inefficiencies with Gelato's agile print platform

Zehnder Group, a world leader in indoor climate products, faced significant inefficiencies and environmental challenges with its previous practice of centrally printing marketing materials in Germany and shipping them globally. This process led to overprinting, high shipping costs, and a large carbon footprint, which conflicted with their commitment to environmentally friendly business practices. They sought a solution to streamline operations and partnered with the vendor Gelato to use its Gelato Globe agile print platform.

By implementing Gelato's platform, Zehnder shifted to a local, on-demand printing model. The Gelato solution provided centralized control over branding and payments while enabling decentralized production close to its sales offices. This resulted in a dramatic 87% reduction in shipping distances, a delivery time shortened by 10-12 days, and a 50% decrease in time spent on print administration. Most notably, Gelato helped Zehnder achieve an estimated 81% reduction in CO2 emissions, significantly supporting their sustainability goals.
