FLIR Systems needed help rapidly developing an operator control user interface for its lifesaving bomb-defusing robots, with the goal of supporting the U.S. military’s vision of a universal controller for directing an entire fleet from a single device. Geisel Software was brought in to build the UI for a complex, mission-critical project on a compressed six-month timeline.

Geisel Software delivered a high-performance, tablet-based UI using modern web technologies, with features like multi-robot control, support for additional payloads, reduced communication and video latency, secure operation, and integrated status reporting and positioning. Geisel also resolved difficult technical issues during integration, and the project was completed on time and within budget, helping FLIR Systems ship a key part of its robot system and retain Geisel for future work.
