See How SRP Gained Asset, Plant & Fleet Reliability

Salt River Project (SRP), which provides generation, transmission and distribution services to over 1 million customers across the Phoenix metro area, needed a way to integrate data from multiple plants for outage management, optimize maintenance strategies, and extend monitoring across critical transmission and distribution assets. To achieve cohesive, real-time analysis of generation asset data and improve reliability amid increasing regulatory scrutiny, SRP engaged GE Digital and its Asset Performance Management (APM) solution.

GE Digital deployed APM to consolidate sensor data across 11 of SRP’s 12 plant locations and more than 500 assets (including 7 fossil and 4 hydro sites, 27 units). Using advanced modeling and real-time analytics, the solution detects deviations from expected machine behavior so SRP can see problems before they occur. The result: a shift from unplanned to planned outages, reduced maintenance costs, optimized asset life, improved availability, and roughly $0.5M in annual savings.
