Pirelli, a global tire manufacturer operating 19 factories (including the Breuberg plant that produced nearly 8 million tires in 2012), needed to manage and interpret massive volumes of process and product data to maintain quality and consistency across complex tire production. GE Digital was engaged to address this challenge, deploying its Asset Performance Management capabilities and Proficy iFIX/GE Software real‑time visualization to bring clarity to the many process parameters and product records generated each day.

GE Digital implemented a real‑time APM visualization solution that integrates with control systems and the GE Software database to provide an online view of running production. The result: operators gained immediate visibility into millions of data points per day, enabling simpler operations, fewer errors, scalable expansion to additional machines, and stronger assurance of product quality and consistency.
